Field Trip
We had a wonderful field trip to the Greenwood Cemetery.
We had a group meditation under a tree. Though the weather is freezing cold, it helped and forced me to connect and concentrate on myself.
The Walk
The walk activity was lovely. I’ve never paid enough attention to my surroundings and nature while I was walking.
This activity provided me a rare opportunity to find connection and communicate with the nature.
I found a pine tree. I was attracted by how green those needle leaves were. In my culture, we think taking photos in cemetery will bring bad luck. So I didn’t take any photo from the walk unfortunately.
I stopped in front of the tree, and felt the branch movements in the cold wind. The longer I stayed with the tree, the more I synced with the pine tree. I felt my shaking body in the cold weather is sharing the same frequency as the tree. I genteelly touched the tree as a way to introduce myself.
Thoughts and Reflection
I felt I was closer the nature, and noticed so much more details I missed around me before.
The trip made me and Esther to rethink our final project. We want to add something that reflects the connection and power of nature on top of our previous project idea. We will update on the next blog.
